Rental terms and conditions

1. Parties and scope

These terms apply to any booking of accommodation made on www.sejours-alpin-reservation.ch or directly with Séjours Alpin (e-mail, telephone, messaging). They do not apply to bookings made through a platform (Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo), which are governed by that platform's terms.

Séjours Alpin is a brand of Durabilite-suisse.ch Sàrl, Route de Vuisternens 18, 1726 Farvagny, Switzerland, company identification number CHE-333.923.278, info@sejours-alpin.ch (hereafter "Séjours Alpin" or "we"). Séjours Alpin acts as the agent of the owner of the accommodation: it represents the owner for the conclusion and performance of the rental contract and remains your single point of contact before, during and after the stay.

The guest is the person who makes the booking (hereafter "the guest" or "you"). The guest must be of legal age and is responsible for compliance with these terms by all accompanying persons.

By confirming the booking, you accept these terms, the cancellation policy and the house rules displayed on the listing.

2. Purpose

The contract covers the short-term rental, for holiday or temporary stay purposes, of the furnished accommodation described in the listing, for the dates and number of persons stated in the booking confirmation. The accommodation may not be used as a residence, sublet or made available to third parties.

3. Booking

The booking is firm once the deposit has been paid and you have received the confirmation e-mail from Séjours Alpin. The information provided when booking (identity, contact details, number and age of persons) must be accurate.

4. Price and tourist tax

Prices are stated in Swiss francs (CHF). The total price is displayed before payment. It includes the rent of the accommodation for the chosen dates and the end-of-stay cleaning. Depending on the accommodation, the tourist tax is either added to the price and displayed before payment, or included in the price; the listing states which applies. No payment fees are charged to the guest.

5. Payment

Payment is made online by card through our payment provider Stripe:

• 50% of the total price at the time of booking;
• the balance 14 days before arrival, charged automatically to the card used for the booking.

If the booking is made less than 14 days before arrival, the full price is paid at the time of booking.

If the balance payment fails, we will ask you to settle it without delay. If payment is not made, Séjours Alpin may cancel the booking; the cancellation policy applies to the amounts already paid.

6. Cancellation policy and changes

The cancellation policy applicable to your booking is the one displayed on the booking engine at the time of booking and accepted at payment. We recommend that you take out cancellation insurance.

A change of dates or accommodation is only possible with the agreement of Séjours Alpin, subject to availability and at the rate in force at the time of the change.

If the accommodation becomes unavailable for a reason beyond our control (damage, force majeure, default of the owner), Séjours Alpin will offer you equivalent accommodation or, failing that, refund in full the amounts paid. Any further compensation is excluded.

7. Identity verification

After booking, the main guest receives an identity verification request from our partner Truvi (scan of an official identity document). This verification is mandatory. The access details for the accommodation are sent once the verification has been completed and the price paid in full. If the verification is not completed or fails, Séjours Alpin may cancel the booking; the cancellation policy applies.

8. Security deposit

Depending on the accommodation, a security deposit may be requested before or on arrival, as a card pre-authorisation or in cash. Its amount and terms are stated on the listing or communicated to you before arrival. The deposit is returned after the accommodation has been checked at departure, less any damage, missing items or additional costs. It does not limit the guest's liability.

9. Arrival and departure

Check-in is from 5:00 pm and check-out is by 9:00 am at the latest. Different times are only possible with the prior agreement of Séjours Alpin. The access instructions (key box, codes, directions) are sent to you before arrival.

On departure, the accommodation is left tidy, the dishes clean and the rubbish taken out, in accordance with the instructions in the listing and the arrival guide. Keys, badges and remote controls are returned to the place indicated. Additional cleaning made necessary by an abnormal condition of the accommodation is charged.

10. Occupants and house rules

The number of persons present in the accommodation, including children, may not exceed the capacity stated on the listing. No other person may stay or be accommodated there, even for one night.

In all accommodations: parties and events are prohibited; quiet hours are observed between 10:00 pm and 7:00 am; smoking is prohibited indoors; pets are not allowed unless the listing states otherwise. The specific rules of the listing (fireplace, shoes, waste, parking, equipment) and the building regulations apply in addition.

In the event of a serious or repeated breach of these rules, Séjours Alpin may end the stay with immediate effect, without refund, and charge the resulting costs.

11. Damage and liability

You use the accommodation, its furniture and its equipment with care and report to us without delay any damage, breakdown or problem you notice, preferably on arrival. You are liable for damage caused to the accommodation, furniture, equipment or common areas by yourself or by accompanying persons, as well as for missing items. The costs of repair, replacement or additional cleaning are charged to you at cost and deducted from the security deposit where applicable.

Séjours Alpin and the owner are not liable for the guest's personal belongings, nor for inconveniences beyond their control (interruption of water, electricity, heating or internet, works in the neighbourhood, weather and snow conditions, closure of ski lifts). In all cases, the liability of Séjours Alpin and the owner is limited to the price of the stay, except in the event of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

12. Data protection

We process your personal data to manage the booking, payment, identity verification, communication relating to the stay and our legal obligations, in particular the declaration of the tourist tax to the municipalities. The data is passed on to our service providers for these purposes only: Hostaway (booking management software), Stripe (payment) and Truvi (identity verification). The processing complies with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union (GDPR). You may exercise your rights of access, rectification and erasure by writing to info@sejours-alpin.ch. Our privacy policy is available at sejours-alpin.ch/en/privacy/.

13. Final provisions

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Fribourg, Switzerland, subject to the mandatory places of jurisdiction provided by law. The applicable version is the one in force on the date of booking. In the event of any discrepancy between the language versions, the French version prevails.
