In the same three-apartment chalet as our apartment with hammam, on Avenue Centrale, an upscale apartment fully renovated and clad in old wood: stone walls, large bay windows, leather sofas, a black granite kitchen with its wine cellar, and a furnished balcony facing the valley and the Alps.
Three bedrooms with a large bed, six guests, a desk corner for remote work, a private parking space and the chalet's ski room. The most contemporary of our Villars apartments, and one of the best placed.

The apartment
Eighty square metres in a chalet with only three apartments, right in the centre of Villars-sur-Ollon. Everything has been renovated: old wood clads the walls and ceilings, exposed stone structures the living room, and large bay windows let in the light and the mountains. The whole is warm and clean, between chalet and loft.
The living area extends into two spaces, with leather sofas, large televisions and a purely decorative fireplace that is not for use: the heating is independent. A dedicated desk corner lets you work remotely facing the window.
Three bedrooms, three large beds
The three bedrooms are clad in wood, each with a large 160 x 200 queen-size bed, storage, hangers and blackout blinds. Bed linen and towels are provided, the beds are made on arrival. The apartment has its own washing machine and tumble dryer, which makes it very practical for a week.
A single bathroom, modern and well finished, for three bedrooms: that is the trade-off of this apartment. For three bathrooms, see our garden-level apartment with sauna, a few doors further on.
The black granite kitchen and the wine cellar
The kitchen is in old wood and black granite, fully equipped: oven, hob, extractor, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, kettle, baking trays, utensils and wine glasses. Its built-in wine cellar makes the difference for those who bring up a few bottles. The dining area is in front of the windows, the table seats six.
The balcony and the view
The bay windows of the living room open onto a furnished balcony, with a table for eating outside and a panoramic view of the valley and the Alps. Almost every guest mentions it: the view at sunset, and, some evenings, the chamois passing through the garden below.
The chalet and its three apartments
The chalet has three apartments and we manage two of them: this one and our apartment with hammam, on the lower ground floor, also with three bedrooms. The two are booked separately, each with its own entrance, or together for a group of twelve. The chalet's ski room is available.
The neighbourhood: Avenue Centrale
Avenue Centrale is Villars' main street: shops, restaurants and lifts are a few minutes' walk away. A private, free outdoor parking space is reserved in front of the chalet; by train, you reach Villars via Bex and the BVB, then on foot.
Worth noting, because we prefer to say it: the apartment is close to a road. Sleeping with the windows open at night, traffic can be heard in some bedrooms. With the windows closed, guests do not mention it.
Who it suits
A family of six, two couples with children or six friends who want the village centre, a contemporary interior and a real kitchen. Remote workers have their desk; skiers, the ski room and the lifts on foot.
The minimum stay is four nights, all year round.
Arrival and departure, in practice
Independent arrival from 5 pm with a key box; the wifi code is in the arrival guide on site. Our Villars team answers every day from 9 am to 9 pm, usually within the hour.
Departure by 9 am at the latest: take the rubbish to the containers (the spot is shown in the guide), wash the dishes you used, strip duvet covers and pillowcases, put the key back in the box. End-of-stay cleaning is done by our team.
Good to know before booking
Non-smoking, no pets and no parties; quiet between 10 pm and 7 am, the chalet being lived in. The fireplace is decorative. Ski boots stay in the ski room, the floor is sensitive to them. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and a first-aid kit in place.
The Ollon tourist tax is included in the price shown. These are the same conditions as on Airbnb, for the same apartment, prepared by the same team.
