The apartment
The apartment occupies the garden level of a chalet on Avenue Centrale, with its own entrance, on one level from the parking to the garden: not a single step, which matters with a pushchair, suitcases or a knee that no longer likes stairs. One hundred and thirty square metres divided into a large living room, three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a separate toilet and the wellness area.
The feel is that of a classic, comfortable chalet: light wood on walls and ceilings, painted furniture, deep sofas, large windows opening the living room onto the terrace and the garden. You are in the village centre, and yet on the garden side you hear only the birds.
The sauna, just for you
The sauna is private and part of the apartment: no timetable, no booking, no neighbours. It waits for you after every day of skiing or hiking, with its adjoining shower room to prolong the moment. It is what makes people choose this apartment over another, and what guests mention first.
Three bedrooms, three large beds, three bathrooms
Each bedroom has a large 160 x 200 queen-size bed, quality bedding and blackout curtains. Two of the bedrooms have their own en-suite bathroom, one with a shower, the other with a bath; the third bathroom is next to the sauna. The toilet is separate. With six people, nobody waits their turn in the morning.
Sheets and towels are provided, the beds are made on arrival, a hairdryer is in the bathroom and hangers in every bedroom.
The living room, the kitchen and evenings
The large living room brings together the dining area, the sofas and the television, with board games for evenings with family or friends. The kitchen is fully equipped: dishwasher, oven, hob, fridge with freezer, coffee maker, kettle, baking trays, utensils and wine glasses. It is made for a raclette or a fondue after skiing.
The terrace and the garden
The private terrace extends the living room, with a large table for six to eat outside facing the mountains. The garden, also private, slopes down in lawn with sun loungers: the children play while the adults read, and drinks are taken there at sunset.
The neighbourhood: Avenue Centrale
The apartment is in the heart of Villars: shops, restaurants and lifts are a few minutes on foot, and guests regularly tell us they did not touch the car all week. Two free parking spaces are included, one indoor and one outdoor, which is rare in the village centre.
Our apartment with hammam is a few doors away, in another chalet: for a group of twelve wanting two apartments two minutes apart, it is the simplest combination in Villars.
Who it suits
A family of six, two couples with children, three couples of friends: three equal bedrooms, each with a large bed and, for two of them, its own bathroom. Families with a pushchair and guests who avoid stairs appreciate the single level; everyone appreciates the sauna.
The minimum stay is four nights, all year round.
Arrival and departure, in practice
Independent arrival from 5 pm with a secure key box; the code, the wifi code and useful addresses are in the arrival guide sent before your stay. Our Villars team answers every day from 9 am to 9 pm. Departure by 9 am at the latest; end-of-stay cleaning is included and done by our team.
Good to know before booking
Non-smoking, no pets and no parties. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in place. The Ollon tourist tax is included in the price shown. These are the same conditions as on Airbnb, for the same apartment, prepared by the same team.
