Verbier is the most sought-after resort of the 4 Vallées, and its rental stock is dominated by prestige chalets and large apartments. Our apartment on Route des Creux is a sensible alternative for a couple or a small family: a bedroom with a 180 cm bed, a sofa bed with a real 160 cm mattress in the living room, a terrace with open mountain views and an indoor parking space, precious in winter.

Choosing well
For two, the apartment offers a proper bedroom and a living room opening onto the terrace; for four, the sofa bed in the lounge, with its 160 cm mattress, welcomes two more guests. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, there is one bathroom. It is the ideal format for a ski weekend, a week in February or the summer of the Verbier Festival.
With optimal snow cover, the slopes are reached on skis about 150 m away. Outside those periods, the resort's free shuttles and the Médran lifts are a few minutes away.
Médran, at the foot of the main lifts, is the epicentre of demand; the Place Centrale and the village centre gather restaurants, bars and boutiques; Savoleyres and Les Esserts form the family, quieter side, and the hamlets (Le Hameau, Sonalon, Patier) shelter the high-end chalets.
Route des Creux, where our apartment stands, is a residential sector of the resort, within walking or shuttle distance of the centre, with the open views that make the difference in photos.
Verbier is reached from Le Châble, by road or by gondola, about two hours from Geneva. In high season, the whole village changes guests on Saturdays: plan your arrival accordingly.
Winter. The 4 Vallées, 412 km of slopes up to Mont-Fort, and the resort's big dates: Christmas and New Year, the February holidays, the Xtreme de Verbier, final of the Freeride World Tour on the Bec des Rosses. Book early for these weeks.
Summer. The Verbier Festival of classical music in July, the mountain bike trails, paragliding facing Mont Blanc and the Combins, and more than 500 km of marked trails. Rates are gentler than in winter.
Tourist tax. The municipality of Val de Bagnes collects 4 francs per adult per night; the amount is shown before you book.
